This Policy describes how Sawd (“Sawd,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our websites and applications (the “Service”).

Account information — name, email, and login credentials.
Financial information you provide — income, expenses, tax documents, prior returns, and connected-account data you choose to import.
Usage information — device, log, and interaction data to operate and secure the Service.

3. How we use your information

To provide the Service — organize your finances, prepare your return, and enable CPA review.
To secure the Service and maintain a tamper-evident audit record of actions on your account.
To communicate with you about your account and the Service.
To improve the Service, using aggregated or de-identified data where feasible.
To comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.

4. How we share information

We share information only as needed to run the Service: with the independent CPA who reviews your return; with service providers (e.g., hosting, financial-data connections, payment processing) under contract; and where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Artificial intelligence

Sawd uses AI to help organize your data and prepare your return. Your financial data is processed to deliver these features. We do not use your identifiable financial data to train third-party public AI models.

6. Security

We use bank-grade encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and a tamper-evident audit ledger. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you as required if an incident occurs. See our Security page.

7. Your choices & rights

You can access, export, correct, or delete your information from within the app or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (for example, under CCPA/CPRA or similar laws). We honor applicable requests.

8. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service and meet legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy; material changes will be notified, and the “last updated” date will change.
